Your Shopify store just got an |
Tacey intercepts every order the moment it is placed. Validates the address, reads fraud signals, catches duplicates, and resolves problems before your warehouse touches it. Silent when everything is fine. Fast when it is not. And with the Operations Toolkit included on every plan, Tacey runs the operational work across your entire store, not just the bad orders.

Here is what happens to every order the moment it is placed.
Order placed β Tacey activates in the same second
Before your team sees it. Before a label prints. Before your warehouse touches it. The moment a customer clicks Pay, Tacey is already reading it.
The address is validated against live carrier data
Apartment missing. Street name that does not exist. City and postcode that contradict each other. These are the orders that come back with a $25.50 carrier correction fee attached to your invoice. Taceyβs AI does not pattern-match. It reads the full address in context, reasons about it, and makes a verdict in seconds.
Clean address. Order passes through silently.
Most orders are fine. Tacey confirms it and does nothing. No friction. No delay. No interference. Your customer never knows Tacey was there.
Bad address? Order held before your warehouse touches it.
The order stops. Shopify holds it automatically. Your warehouse sees nothing. The problem is contained, silently, before anyone has touched it. Tacey sends your customer a correction link within seconds.
Your customer corrects it β without contacting you
They get a secure link. They fix their address using smart autocomplete. The moment they submit, the hold releases automatically and the order continues. No support ticket. No phone call. No back and forth. You did not do anything. Tacey handled it.
You get the full picture on every decision
Every order Tacey touched is logged. What it found, what it decided, why. If you want to see what happened on order 4,821 three weeks ago, it is there. No black boxes. No guessing. Total visibility on your ops.
AI Order Agent. Operations Toolkit. One install.
AI Order Agent
AI reasoning, not pattern matching
Every address validation app on the Shopify App Store uses rules. Tacey uses AI. It reads the full address in context, understands what a rules-based system would miss, and explains every decision it makes. Not a score. A verdict.

Questions merchants ask before installing.
No. Tacey does not touch your checkout flow at all. It operates at the order layer, after the customer has already placed their order. Your checkout experience is completely unchanged. No scripts, no popups, no UI injections, no friction added.
Every order is validated for address deliverability (does this address exist and can a carrier deliver to it), completeness (missing apartment numbers, missing unit identifiers), format accuracy (city and postcode mismatch, invalid street combinations), and delivery risk. On Agent and Commander plans, Tacey also applies your sensitivity settings and any custom rules you have configured.
Tacey holds the order in Shopify immediately. Your warehouse never sees it. A correction email is sent to your customer with a secure link to fix their address using smart autocomplete. On Agent plan, you receive an SMS alert at the same moment. On Commander, Tacey can call your customer directly by phone and handle the conversation. Once the customer submits a corrected address, the hold releases automatically and fulfillment continues. You do not have to do anything.
Full address intelligence with carrier-level validation is available for the US and Canada. International orders across 195 countries - including Mexico, UK, EU, Australia, Japan, and beyond - are validated with country-specific postal format rules, province and state mapping in local languages, and full AI reasoning applied. Non-Latin addresses including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic are supported. If you ship to a region and want to confirm coverage before installing, contact us and we will give you a straight answer.
Every decision is logged with its full reasoning. If Tacey holds an order you believe should have passed, you can review it and release it manually in one click. You can also adjust sensitivity (Conservative, Balanced, or Aggressive) to match how strict you need Tacey to be. You are always in control. Tacey does not make decisions that cannot be overridden.
Order data is processed to run address validation and is retained in your decision log for audit purposes. We do not sell data to third parties. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
No. Tacey works out of the box on all Shopify plans with no Shopify Flow required. If you are on the Agent plan and want to connect Tacey to your existing automations, 9 built-in Shopify Flow triggers are available, but they are entirely optional.
Scout ($39/mo) gives you full AI validation, automatic order holds, and customer correction emails for up to 500 orders/month. Agent ($59/mo) adds SMS alerts, your own branded correction emails, sensitivity controls, and Shopify Flow triggers for up to 1,500 orders/month. Commander ($99/mo) adds AI phone calls to your customers, plain-language custom rules, and advanced analytics with unlimited orders. Every plan includes a 7-day free trial.

Shopify's Agentic Commerce Readiness Tool: What It Checks, Why Stores Are Failing, and What to Fix First
Shopify launched a free Agentic Commerce Readiness tool that scores how visible your store is to AI shopping agents. Here is what it checks, what merchants are failing, and what to fix first.

How Agentic Commerce Is Changing Order Operations for Shopify Merchants
As agentic orders increase as a share of total volume, the proportion of orders where the customer reviewed the address at checkout decreases. The manual backstop that human checkout review provided, the customer noticing their old apartment number and correcting it, is gone. The post-checkout order intelligence layer becomes more important, not less
