Does Tacey touch my checkout?+

No. Tacey works at the order layer, after the order is placed. Your checkout experience is completely unchanged. Customers see nothing different when they buy.

What exactly does Tacey check?+

Shipping addresses. Specifically: missing apartment or unit numbers, street names that do not exist in the delivery network, wrong state or postcode combinations, and patterns that suggest the address will not deliver. Tacey does not touch your products, pricing, inventory, or anything else.

What happens when Tacey flags an order?+

The order is held in Shopify. It can't be fulfilled until the address is fixed. Your customer gets an email with a secure link to a correction page where they can fix their address using smart autocomplete. The moment they submit a valid address, the hold releases and the order moves forward. On Agent and Commander plans you also get an SMS alert when this happens.

What countries does Tacey support?+

US, Canada, and Mexico at launch. International support is coming soon. Tacey's AI reasoning runs on all orders regardless of country. The depth of address validation improves as coverage expands.

What if the AI makes a wrong call?+

You can release any held order in one click from the dashboard. Every decision is logged with full reasoning so you can see exactly what happened. Tacey is designed to err on the side of caution. When it's uncertain, it flags rather than acts.

Is my customer data stored?+

Only while your store is installed. Order data is used solely to run the agent. Nothing else. Everything is permanently deleted within 48 hours of uninstall.

Do I need Shopify Flow to use Tacey?+

No. Tacey works completely on its own. The Shopify Flow triggers are there if you want to connect Tacey's decisions to Slack, email automations, or other workflows. They are entirely optional and don't affect how the core agent works.

What is the difference between the plans?+

All plans include AI checking, automatic holds, the customer address correction flow, and the full order dashboard. Scout adds email notifications to the customer. Agent adds SMS alerts to you as the merchant, your store domain on outgoing emails, and control over how strict Tacey is. Commander adds phone calls to your customers, custom rules you write yourself, and predictive intelligence based on your store's specific history.
